What Happens When You Sponsor a Family?
When you sponsor a family this is what happens:
This means that the potential of them getting ill due to water contamination will be lessen.
Alkaline water in the Philipines is sold for Php 60.00-Php 80.00 per 5 gallons. This is way expensive for a family who is below poverty level. One average family can consume 2 five-gallons of water every week which makes it 8 five-gallons a month or 96 five-gallons a year.
If they have to buy 100% bacteria-free Alkaline water just to provide healthy and safe drinking water to their family, they would have to spend at least Php 120.00/week ($2.85), Php 480.00/month ($11.43), Php 5,760.00/month ($137).
NO WONDER they will just settle for water coming from their own faucet and compromise the health and safety of their family but WE CAN STOP THIS CYCLE!
We will start awarding the water jugs that will provide them 100% bacteria-free Alkaline water once we already have at least 10 sponsors per community. We will then choose 10 families to whom we will award the jugs for free. We will explain to them that this is sponsored by you and an outreach program of the Churches of Christ. We will be doing this with the cooperation of the local government.
After the awarding, we will visiting them to start a Bible study on Jesus Christ as the Living Water. We will start a series on the passage in the Bible where Jesus met the woman by the well. We are hoping that this will result to conversion and more souls added to the church.
During the awarding, we don't only teach them the importance of clean, healthy alkaline water but also teach them how to earn from this project.
Each filter is good for 6,000 liters of alkaline water. They can actually sell Alkaline water to their neighbors for Php 1.00/liter ($0.50) which is way less than Alkaline water sold from a water refilling station.
They not only earn but also shared clean and healthy water for less the price.
SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? Sponsor at least one family now and help these poor community have access to 100% bacteria-free Alkaline water, give them the opportunity to earn, and open doors for us to preach the gospel to these families.
